ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF ROMAN CENTURIATION
The archaeological exhibition of the Roman centuriation is hosted in Palazzo Patella, seat of the Villadose Town Hall.
The approximately 400 exhibits on display are the result of surface collections in the large centuriation that occupies the entire territory of Villadose where 108 Roman Age sites have been identified.
The museum itinerary is divided into three sections:
1. general notes on centuriation, with a focus on the Villadose area
2. the subsistence activities of the settlers related to agriculture, breeding and the production of textiles and terracotta objects
3. the research methodology and the results of ongoing research.
Furthermore, mosaic tiles, painted plaster and fragments of architectural decoration are on display, coming from rustic villas located within the agro centuriato.
