Historical theatres

A territory where you "breathe beauty", leads to a state of psychological well-being equal to that which even the performing arts can induce by increasing their beneficial effects.

The passion for opera, theatre, music and ballet is today as in the past a phenomenon that cannot otherwise be explained.

A passion that led to the presence of about 50 theaters in Polesine (of which 3 in Rovigo), born, almost all, from the will of groups of private citizens, who taxed themselves to build them and then to support their activity, above all musical.

Of the 7 historic theaters that remain today, we mention the Sociale of Rovigo, the Ballarin of Lendinara and the Balzan of Badia Polesine to which important events in the Italian history of music are linked, such as the debut in Rovigo of Beniamino Gigli and Maria Callas.
