canda

The small town of Canda, is located on the hydrographic left of the Canalbianco and as its name indicates, “can-da” or “place of rest”, has always been in close correlation with the waterway on which the town overlooks.

There are numerous Venetian-style villas here as evidence of the domination of the Serenissima in the Polesine area from the 15th to the 18th century: among these, is the majestic Villa Nani Mocenigo and its large park.
The vision of the beautiful architecture built on a project by Vincenzo Scamozzi is certainly a source of surprise for those who arrive in Canda by sailing on the Canalbianco or along the beautiful pedestrian path “Canalbianco”, connecting to the nearby Pincara.
